I used this on my beofeng MURS V-1 radio. I use it extensively for looks. It works well and I drove 0.9 miles in a very crowded area before noticing the slightest sign of static electricity. I haven't tested this further but I'm sure it will be fine up to 1-1 1/2 miles in the woods where I will be using it. One thing I noticed is that if you leave it folded for a long period of time, it slowly returns to its upright position, so I keep it fully unfolded.
