This valve is stainless steel and really holds pressure. Most bronze or brass valves are highly questionable for use at 4500 psi. If your personal safety is important to you, you should buy this particular valve. This valve is almost ready to be mounted on a high pressure carbon fiber cylinder, filled and used, except for a moment. It comes with the wrong o-ring for use with carbon fiber bottles. This valve requires an 18 x 3mm o-ring to seal properly and the o-ring MUST have a small bead of silicone grease on top and bottom to prevent it from failing once the valve is fully tightened. Bottle. An o-ring this size will cost around $1 at any auto parts store and should be made of nitrile rubber (HNBR) or nitrile. Rubber or neoprene O-rings are NOT suitable for this pressure.
