I have to say right away that the product description is meaningless and contradictory. This is not a perforator. It's not 12 amps. It doesn't (probably) have 18 joules of impact energy. However, product images are correct. What is it:*) This is a pure demolition hammer (no rotation)*) 10.5 amp motor*) And the impact energy is pretty much anyone's guess without proper test equipment, but given that even on the product it's 18 J in is in one place and 15 J in another - you can just randomly select properties. I have never used such a non-rotating demo hammer. But I've had an SDS-Plus hammer drill for many years that only has one impact (destruction) mode. I've used it on many small projects and I think it was one of the best tool purchases I've ever made. From breaking up the pavement for demolition to cutting holes in the foundation, it was priceless. I just recently switched to an SDS Max punch, which is even better. And while it's heavier and more powerful than this Berserker demo hammer, on paper it has less impact energy. I doubted the claim that it would be much better. But I ran them side by side, that's against a 13 amp and heavy multi pound SDS Max masonry drill. The result was clear: this demo hammer is indeed much better. It offers more impact energy but is somehow lighter and less tiring to use. I'm really partial to using this demo hammer. But I have reservations on a couple of points: *) the seller put ZERO thought into the product description *) conflicting information on the product packaging *) the key to open the lube compartment in the kit is the wrong size (you will have to get your own develop) *) the support e-mail was returned electronically. I had less confidence than I would have preferred for a nearly $400 tool. But other than that it looks pretty solid, the quality is good. It comes in a very nice case and includes a couple of chisels, extra lube and motor brushes (and a wrong size wrench).
