Must turn water off before detachment!
In my opinion the only reason for having this type of quick release fitting, is to quickly change garden hose accessories. For which you should not need to shut off the water supply before disconnecting the fitting. The fitting itself should stop the water flow once disconnected. Otherwise they are good solid fittings, and are easy to install.
- Easy to install, quick operation
- The quick connectors might not fit perfectly on older hoses with worn ends
