This was a replacement for an identical product which after a few weeks started playing "blurry" sound. An identical picture emerged from this. It was very easy for the company to send a replacement the first time, but now I will buy another brand. It's entirely possible that this is a good product that just didn't work with my Onkyo system. Both units worked great initially and then there was a bug that really led me to believe it was an incompatibility between this and the amp. Both times I didn't have an automatic return and refund policy, but as mentioned, the company exchanged the device once and now they've told me they'll refund my purchase price. They are certainly not legally bound and their ethics are exemplary. I would not advise against buying this unit because it worked so well initially and I wish it would last.
