If you're thinking about it and can afford it, you should probably just get it. Everything related to the joystick is like a dream, from the buttons to the action itself. It feels good in your hand and feels smooth. Some people say the stick feels too stiff and while I can agree that some of the buttons are a little tight, the stick action is amazing. The button layout offers a lot of flexibility and Thrustmaster's TARGET software is relatively easy to use. With a solid metal wand, metal base and engraved metal baseplate, the wand itself looks and feels very impressive. Apparently the sticks have an issue with "sticking" after about a year of use, but there are plenty of YouTube videos explaining how to do this. to solve the problem, so I'm not worried. The only thing to note is that the stick is designed to sit underneath you. So if you just have a regular table and put the stick on it, it could very well be the case. that the stick would be set uncomfortably high. For me I didn't have to build a custom cab because my desk has a drawer and I just pulled out the drawer and put the joystick in instead of putting the joystick on the desk. This will drop the stick about 8 inches lower than if I just put it on the table and I'm comfortable with it. I just put a few sheets of paper in the drawer to keep it from moving while playing (otherwise the drawer will slide because the stick is quite heavy). Even during long sessions, I don't experience any pain when operating the joystick, but I can be stronger than the average flight sim fan. In fact, I find the ergonomics better than the T-1600M I've used as the buttons are much easier to reach and the joystick fits my hand much more easily.
