I needed this mount for those hard-to-reach outdoor areas where I couldn't use a regular mount. The mount allowed for quick camera placement, but was difficult to aim and moved in the wind. The idea is great, but the flexible "tail" is attached to the synthetic skin on top of the camera, which allows it to pull away from the camera in some applications. It looks like hanging straight down and viewing at a 90 degree angle would be great indoors. However, I needed a downward angle that was difficult to achieve and maintain with the flexibility of the tail and skin. If I could screw the "tail" into the threads on the camera mount I think I would get the strong mount I want. But it was a quick and easy solution to my problem. I will look for a long term solution with other methods.
