On my It was frost on the lawn this morning so I thought it would be a good time for a pre-winter review of this hat. My ears and fingertips are the worst cold in winter temperatures and it looks like I've got one of those loosened now. The only minor issue I see so far, which will likely improve over time, is the plastic latch under the chin. I could see it was a problem unzipping, especially with cold fingers. The best closure would be one with clips on the sides that release when you push them down. This is the warmest winter hat I've ever had.
