My lamp is even better than the picture because there are enough salt stones to fill the whole lamp. I don't know much about the health benefits and to be honest I don't really care. I bought it because I love the orange glow it gives off. It's really wonderful. The dimmer is very difficult to move, so I just plug and unplug it when I use it. In addition, the cable is UL approved, which is very important for fire safety. There aren't many fixtures, so be careful when choosing. I would highly recommend this product but wish the company would improve the switch.
