I was looking for a well built yet lightweight pressure blade insert for my double edge razors as I don't like the traditional valve type. I like lightness. I am a hairdresser and shaving is my favorite activity. I prefer the lightest razor and it feels lighter than the Turkish Cedef if not about the same. Loading is definitely easier than cedef. The black sleeve for the long blade doesn't seem like the perfect opening and notch, but Once Upon a Razor is fine. The clear plastic sheath was perfect for the double-edged blades. I would however like to see them make the color red to be able to see the blade better. The plastic bushings don't seem to snap into place like they seem and when I inserted the bushing into the aluminum razor it loosened up a bit. I squeezed the aluminum case with my fingers and it was easy, and now the plastic sleeve fits tight. Haven't tried the razor yet, but I can tell from the shape and design that you might really need to know what you're doing. Otherwise you can easily cut yourself or someone else with this shavetta. It seems to require a certain angle with a design that doesn't offer much reach, but then again I haven't really used it. It's a bit pricey for what it is, but well built despite being a cheap and lightweight material. When using a plastic sleeve, this covers the nose of the blade. It will either be good or annoying.
