I've made a few projects from this book, but not without difficulty. The instructions are mostly correct, but not entirely. The harder task was finding materials for the projects. I improvised without being able to find the exact instructions, which also means the pattern had to be adapted to the bead or beads to be improvised. To be honest I haven't found a project here yet where I could find all the materials. The Bill bracelet was the first project - I couldn't find square beads so I used Swarovski which forced me to change the section they were in. significant. and it didn't work out like it should. Even though, when I wear it, it looks good. I then made a Shimmer Queen and am currently working with someone on Etsy to order a custom center bead for me as I can't find anything like this anywhere. Lark Book says they have an accessories section on their website that has been in development since I bought the book over a month ago. Then I wanted to make Spun Glass and after a long search I actually found a 6 loop fastener. could only find the front side drilled, which is another change in the picture. I found a few other good side drilled beads that were ok but definitely didn't fit the design. It's frustrating having to search and search and search to find everything for a single project, I can't go to one supplier for everything and I still can't find exactly what I want. Thinking, I'm learning to improvise with beads and that's good. The really GREAT news is that all projects are pretty easy once you understand what you need to change to make them work. Shimmer Queen was extremely easy, aside from the inability to find a trick for it, and the rope is absolutely beautiful even without a trick.
