Color 3000K is quite blue. I personally like 2500K bulbs and that would be annoyingly cool light for everyday use. They are just right for shutdowns. Note that a light with multiple bulbs can be difficult to properly turn off. Depends on how the device works with the circuit. They work great in any individual lamp socket as long as they fit. This is a final caveat, they are larger than normal incandescent bulbs by about 0.75 inch overall radius. They match my pendant lights and floor lamps, but my included track lights are too narrow for these lamps. You need to appraise your home. before I stock up on many at once. IMHO they are worth having battery backup lights in the event of a power outage (common in my area) where I can just use the light as normal.
