Bought this for my daughter at the start of the school year. So far it has withstood a heavy load of books/binders/paper. It's simple (matches* everything my 13 year old daughter wears, we have black and white) and her only complaint was that it can be a bit small. (In doing so, I got her to re-evaluate what really needed to be carried to school every day, and she was able to shrink/lighten her backpack and found it less heavy/small.) The lunch bag is insulated and offers plenty of space. a decent place for lunch for a growing 13 year old. I can easily attach a 16 ounce water bottle to the side or a thermos if she wants a hot lunch. It's simple, but stylish enough not to draw attention to itself. (High school is rough). The little bag in the kit that she uses for pads etc when she's on her cycle. It's simple/unobtrusive enough that she can pull it out and take it with her when she needs to go to the bathroom. She fills/carries it in her backpack and if a friend needs help she can help without anyone suspecting a problem which can be embarrassing for 13 year old girls. Highly recommended.
