I've been using Hyper-x alpha for about a year. It was relatively easy and simple, but always gave me a headache because of its narrowness; especially with glasses. So I was looking for something different that sounded decent and comfortable for glasses. It's certainly a little bulky, but not as bulky as Razer's gaming headsets I think. Due to the sufficient padding and comfort, I don't feel all of its weight on my head and can wear it for a long time. I'm no audio expert, but the sound quality is definitely better than the Hyper-x alpha. Its surround sound is pretty impressive. This is my first high end headset with 7.1 surround sound. Cheaper headsets with 7.1 surround sound have always had big compromises when it comes to sound quality, but this one seems to deliver great audio quality. It feels like I'm carrying a decent pair of speakers. The setup can be tweaked with a dedicated app and it works, but I'm not sure if it's a noise-cancelling mic. I think it would be nice if they provided something like a headset setup guide detailing the app as I don't know if the noise canceling mic actually works or not. Noise cancellation on the audio/speakers, but unfortunately it didn't block any noise or noise coming from the headset. So forget about gaming by carrying it to a place like the library and expect people not to hear your gaming. In general, though, the price makes sense. Made of good plastic, aluminium/metal material and aesthetically compact despite the sound quality; and USB Type-C at the same time. wire, wire. I had to get used to its wire because most products I've used have only had one wire left or right, but this one has two on each side. And it feels like you're wearing both a headset and a necklace hanging from your headset. My guess is that both wires were needed to power it. I wouldn't turn down this headset just because it has two wires. The buttons on the headset itself also feel comfortable. I'm glad they didn't hang the buttons on the wire. It would be so annoying. The RGB lighting is unnecessary and generates some surface heat, but it looks primitive and you also have a button to disable this feature. In terms of size, it seems to be quite versatile. I have never used Asus and ROG audio products. This is a good buy. Glad I didn't rush to swap out my Hyper-X-Alpha right away. I've been waiting for this headset to be released for about a month. Now I don't have a headache because of a damn headset. I hate you Hyper-X Alpha. it tormented me for a year and now I'm a free man
