I depend on electric blankets, especially in winter, and winter is coming. They usually last at least 5 years. I don't wash them - I use a light weight topper over them and they can last a long time and the topper can be any color you want! This blanket is beautiful, with lots of thin wires that aren't overpowering. It feels light and comfortable. So I don't wash. A Sunbeam product purchased in December 2019 - usually a solid product - didn't work for me last winter either. I've noticed others on Revain are saying the same thing about recent Sunbeam purchases. I love this blanket and the price was great! Just one thing that I think others have mentioned. Control settings are difficult to read. But I'll live with it. I ran it on 8 (8 out of 20) and it was perfect.
