Maybelline makes very good mascaras, although I usually prefer CoverGirl when I go to the pharmacy. I saw an ad for this mascara and decided to try it. My lashes are medium length and straight. They are also thin and need a lot of energy. I love dramatic lashes. This mascara has a long curved brush comb. It is thin and different from normal mascara brushes. It's not plush at all. The formula is very dark and not too watery. The application is not dirty. One coat does the job well, but three gives me long, thick lashes that don't clump at all. I don't really see the "winged effect" but my lashes are fluffy, very dark and separated. When I curl them up they stay lifted, but lose a bit of volume as I apply multiple coats. I fell asleep with this mascara on (I know it's a bad idea) and didn't wake up with lumps and flakes all over my body. . He's held up pretty well. And it is easy to remove with detergent and water or any eye makeup remover. I love this mascara. I have pricier shades that I like better, but for the price, this one is good for drama without lumps. You'll need to get used to the comb, but once you do, you'll see a big difference in the length and thickness of your lashes.
