These clear acrylic lipstick holders each have 16 compartments (total 32 compartments). I received two and they were filled in no time. I hand washed them in warm soapy water first although they arrived clean and intact. They have been washed well and dried without stains. They would go bad in the dishwasher. I'm glad I got the set of 2 because it's crazy how many lipsticks, glosses, balms and other lip products are lying around on my desk and tucked away in drawers, bags, closets, etc. I love that they are organized and easy to keep track of what I have now. It was also a good time to get rid of old products that I never really liked. These holders don't take up much space, especially when kept upright with lipsticks and shorter glosses. Each stance is well balanced on its own. Some glitters are too big to be stable or look messy and stick out too much so I use a flat holder for these items and it works great. You can leave it on your bedside table or even put it in a drawer on your bedside table. I got out the long glosses and tried folding the holders as shown and didn't find them that sturdy even for standard lipsticks. They simply lie side by side or on top of each other and cannot hold them together in any way. This might be normal for some, but I'm a clumsy person and I can imagine knocking over a stack of coasters and picking up a stack of lipstick. I never intended to use them this way, so it's not a problem for me. Versatile yet practical, they solve a real problem. They are compact but hold a lot and look pretty enough when displayed with lipstick and other lip products. A set of two at the current price of $9.99 seems like a really good deal, especially considering I've had to throw away products that have been sitting around too long because they were out of sight. Definitely recommended. 5 Stars.
