got defects, fought with it for 2 months. Should have sent it back, but despite my stubbornness I managed to do it and finally gave up after the return period had expired. I just replaced it with a much better performing, more reliable (but more expensive) non-Brother laser printer and couldn't be happier. After setup, the printer would print for about a day and then throw a "4F" error on the next print job. was presented. The documentation says to check for "4F" error jams and shut down the device if that doesn't work. I inevitably crawled under the table to turn off the printer, reset it and clear the "4F" error (no paper jams). Once the "4F" error is corrected, the next printout will always be white. page - even if it is less than 1 week old! Fixing this required multiple printhead cleanings before the printer (finally) printed the document. Yes, and since the cleanings used up a lot of extra ink. And all with a new printer. I expect clogged heads over time, but not within the first week! After 2 months, the black was so clogged that no amount of printhead cleaning from the printer's maintenance menu could fix it. Needless to say, I don't plan on buying another Brother for a long time.
