Most people wear flat bottomed adidas style flip flops indoors. I was looking for something different, aesthetically simple but with more support. I had a pair of adidas flip flops that lasted a few years with almost daily use, but now I have new standards. They were uncomfortable, but I chose them for their functionality, because ordinary slippers are thin, and fabric materials get dirty quickly. They stand out from ordinary flip flops and slippers for several reasons. It's curved at the front to provide huggable support. The bottom has ribs on the heel and front for traction. And the sole itself is about an inch thick, pretty firm but not heavy. My previous slides were just flat with room to squeeze a foot in. Definitely take a smaller size than what you get in the shoe. I usually buy shoes in size 10 but after checking the size chart I got them in size 9. I have a wide foot and have no problem wearing them, I also only wear them with socks and they are not tight at all. I recommend 10/10.
