(26m) I've been wearing adidas Sambas for 9 years and my wife wanted me to buy shoes that weren't white. I never liked black shoes and the gray adidas sneakers weren't in my size and I'm glad they aren't. I started looking for a pair of shoes that was simple, suited 90% of my wardrobe and could be worn with shorts, jeans and khakis. I narrowed my search to these and a pair of Onitsuka Tiger Serranos (which cost $35 more). I don't like shoes with thick soles or long heels because they make driving less fun, and I'm not a fan of sneakers that look like the sole of the shoe is glued to the toe. I was initially skeptical about the nylon webbing but I'm so glad I bought them. The fabric doesn't wrinkle like leather and offers more rigidity than the ultra-thin, sock-like shoes that are so popular today. My foot length is 27 1/2 inches (just over 10 3/4 inches) and I ordered a 10.5. My sock is a little closer to the end than my 10.5 Sambas, but they seemed to have more room, almost a thumb's breadth. the shoes are ideal for people with a narrow heel and medium ball width. they also came with 2 sets of laces (red and grey) and the heel has a nice wedge cut to make it look more natural. step possible. The color is lighter than the main photo shown on this page which I thought I almost gave up thinking they might be too dark. I'll change my rating if they don't hold up as well as my sambas in the next 3-4 years, but I think they will as I've always had good experiences with the durability of suede. So far I totally agree happy with them, amazing price and great feel (and look) of the shoe!
