I think this is a must have for anyone who has a new iPad that came out recently (last year or so). The USB-C cable that I received in the original box is barely long enough to put my iPad on the table even when plugged in. I really don't know what Apple was thinking about giving people these short cables unless they did it because they wanted people to have to buy another longer USB-C cable. The problem with this way of thinking is that people are much more likely to go the third-party route than buy the cable through Apple for the price they're asking in the first place. That being said, I can't even be sure that Apple even offers an extended USB-C cable for sale at the Apple Store. In any case, this is a strong and durable cable with a nice velcro strap that allows you to roll up the size of the cable if for some reason you don't need the full length of the cable. When you receive this item, don't do what I did and cut off the piece of black velcro wrapped around the USB-C cable lol. I was able to salvage it with reliable Gorilla Glue and it wasn't a problem, but I wish I knew before I went and carelessly cut some of the wire. Enjoy!
