I like these socks but they should be made for people with the thinnest ankles. I don't have any sores or anything but they leave gouges on my skin for hours after I peel them off. The foot is the perfect size, but the ankle, especially the top of the sock, is oddly small. However, they keep your feet very warm in cold weather and regulate moisture in very humid environments, so they make good socks. Just not for people with anything more than bird-like ankles.
