Review on Darn Tough Standard 🔥 Issue Light: Unmatched Durability and Comfort by Ayush Bonuccelli

Okay I'm giving these five stars because they are amazingly well made, durable socks and made in the USA! (which was most important to me). I really like that there is NO pillow in the socks, just thin wool blend socks. However, I must caution potential buyers to see what the other reviewer had to say about the sizing. They are quite short and definitely run small. I wear size 11-11 1/2 athletic shoes, usually trail running shoes, and I HATE tight socks. So I ordered size XL which should fit size 12-15. AND I CAN BADLY GET THEM! I'm used to just putting my socks on quickly, but it takes me about 20 seconds to gradually pinch and fold them. I try to grab the thick fabric from the top and sides of the foot so I can tighten the arch and only then can I just barely get the heel in place. I ordered high quality wool blend socks made in the USA. from two other Darn Tough competitors, also in XL, and they feel very tight too (which I would call small). So FYI anyone approaching the upper end of the size range should probably go up a size, if you really don't like tight socks then never mind!
