Very cute. The material is soft yet strong enough to provide support. I recommend measuring both of your child's feet first. I didn't realize it until I wrestled with my girlfriend for about a week to take off her right sandal. She did this with all of her shoes. Just take off one shoe. She didn't have open shoes, so I experimented with these shoes. They were soft enough to be trimmed and still looked decent (at least I think so. It was her shoes in the backyard so no one but me could see them). As she put her right foot in. her right shoe. Her thumb was sticking out of her shoe. The difference was about 1/8 inch, but it made a big difference. Her left foot was fine and within the edge of the shoe. Good sandals. She still wears them in your garden from time to time. Thumbs out and such. Haha (She's the right shoe size. But she doesn't seem to mind. And that's serious, only about 30 million a day.) Don't judge too harshly. 😅
