This watch strap appears to be exactly the same as the one that came with my G-Shock 5600E watch. The original tape lasted almost 6 years with constant, sometimes severe, use. I hope this one lasts just as long. If that doesn't work, I plan to update this review. Update: After 2 years the band is still playing well. I lead an active lifestyle and rarely take my watch off, so it gets greasy in the car at work, soap in the dishes and dirt in the woods. At the moment it looks like it will last at least 2-4 years and all the dirt has always washed away.
