TARION Y5D Autodolly - Hands-On / First Impressions [with video clip]

As soon as you opened the box, the TARION Y5D Autodolly proved to be a solid little device. I have a background in photography [not video] but I still enjoy tinkering with videos from time to time. However, I thought it would be fun to create smooth and creative panoramic shots. Especially 360 degree shots. I didn't use the included remote so I won't comment on that [at least not yet], but the buttons on the device make it easy to start/stop the trip. I'm at work, so I took one of our Vape Kult coffee mugs, used it as a subject, and attached the Mobius Action Cam to the cart to capture a 360-degree wide-angle pan. The angle markings on the adjustable leg made it very easy to find the correct position for a specific circle. Once I had it centered on the counter I allowed myself to tear. The movement was very smooth and everything worked great! During editing/playback, the microphone on the camera picked up a bit of engine hum, but that's okay. I've only used the cart once but on first impression and use I'll give it a 5 star rating. Later, after trying the remote and using the cart a little more, I'll try to make a sequel. Sam -
