First of all I'm sorry I took off a star because I didn't have a bobby pin sewn in. I don't know HOW even the tiniest hair clip can be sewn into fabric (like mesh?) so I purposely use puffy hair (I have long straight hair) or some dry shampoo so I can hide the invisible hair clip BUT I will use it anyway and 4 stars, it looks and feels good. It's lightweight, but there's some heaviness on the long fronts due to the "weight" of the crochet lace, and when you're not walking it can stay put even on slippery hair. Honestly I didn't think I'd like it but I love it!🙇‍♀️ The black one I replaced (a family heirloom I can't find) was definitely more modest and better sized (in the front a lot shorter , longer at the back in comparison: triangular mantilla) and it had a clip sewn in and I love it too and hope I find it BUT THAT?! (not for long when you're trying to sew something into the "fabric" and you need a bag to protect it because I doubt it will stand up to just summer heat or rain) but it just gives me that feeling to be a part of the Church). It's like God acknowledging my prayers. (Perhaps not in this brilliant review, if I should be doing other things.) But it's like my Sacramentals: silly as it may sound, you somehow "feel" that you are in alignment with the One Catholic Faith (traditional belief). Life. . , before the Clown Masons got into the buildings). This is not a tiara-style beauty queen at all; It's just that you can see the flowers on either side even if they're only a few inches from the hairline, and IT'S SO CHEAP! Everyone knows how much "good" veils/mantillas cost, and (to me) you feel kind of guilty about wearing them. Well, that alone makes me smile: If someone looks the way they want and obviously need, I can pick it up and give it to them, and I can buy another Deo volente! "Shine" is ONLY enough not to attract the "wrong" attention in Mass or worship, but to add beauty to a militant church. Veils are meant to separate you from the world and help you focus on the church instead of worrying about your veil, hair, etc. and this should offend no one and help you properly focus on the one living Triune God ! Deo Gratias, whoever made that veil (but really, a little clip sewn into the hair might help).
