The sharpness of plastic straws has always bothered me. That and the fact that my kids can use a dozen straws a day makes this pack useful. I used to buy stainless steel reusable straws, but found that I prefer the bamboo ones. Bamboo straws vary in diameter and are more like fast food straws. Easy to clean, very pleasant to drink.
