Although it's a good price, the size doesn't fit at all! They measure 4 1/2 inches at the top, but that's not the smallest width of them, so don't assume you'll fit something very wide in them. I bought these to use as closet organizers. The bottom width of the storage bins is really only 2 3/4 inches wide! It gets wider as it goes up, which doesn't help. The ad description should include the actual minimum width so people know they will actually fit in these storage bins. In addition, the base is 22.9 cm long. So if you use it for books, you cannot put books wider than 8 1/2 to 8 3/4 inches. Other Uses: Spice racks are not for canning. I bought several 14.3 x 5.3 x 7 inch and use them to store cleaning supplies and other things in the pantry and behind the kitchen sink. If you can find containers of the right size, you can use them for soup cans or other cans, good closet organizers, or for storing your soda or beer cans in the fridge and you don't have to worry about the cans moving and breaking. If the dimensions were realistic I would rate this item higher, but since people rely on accurate measurements when using a product, whether the product is successful or not does matter! None of us want to deal with returns!
