I recently reviewed a similar stand made by Satechi. Satechi looks a little better and folds into a flatter design. Satechi also places all ports on the back, which looks better when placed on a shelf or in an entertainment center. Conversely, this stand has entries on three sides, allowing you to see more cables from the front. The only cable you see with Satechi is the one that goes to the iPad, but it's shorter and connected to the device. This stand comes with a detachable and slightly longer cord, which I prefer. Even if that means hiding more cables. This stand also has other advantages. First, the price is lower. Second, this stand adds an extra USB port that will definitely come in handy. The biggest innovation, however, is the fact that you can adjust the height and angle of the stand with the Satechi in a fixed position. I personally love the added versatility of this stand for my office and I love the look of the Satechi. in my livingroom. I also prefer Satechi for travel. Overall I think they are both very useful depending on your specific needs.
