So China bought cedar wood in USA and then made hangers in China. Strange. I love cedar hangers and have had trouble finding them instead of the ones I've had for twenty years. I was excited to try it out. Expensive for Chinese production. My old cedar hangers are bigger and thicker than these. They smell like cedar, although they may have just sprayed cedar in the box. I have no idea if that is the real cedarwood smell. (I don't trust much.) They're a little more expensive than what you get BUT I'm glad I bought them as I prefer them to plastic or cheap pine. I will also say that the wood is smooth and did not damage my clothes. I probably wouldn't use them on jackets as they're a bit small, but they work well with blouses or trousers.
