Review on 🧳 Parker Safety Razor, 4 Piece Travel Safety Razor & Leather Case - An Exceptional Choice for Travel and Everyday Grooming! by Heather Anderson

not the best fit and finish

Received the razor today and was amazed at how small the unassembled razor is in the case. When I took it out there was some brown solid debris in the handle, it was easy enough to remove and I didn't know what it was. Then I assembled the razor handle, the two-piece handle fitted together seamlessly and had a nice touch, very nice anti-slip texture. I then inspected the two piece razor head and there was a noticeable dent/nick on the underside of the top piece. It doesn't seem to affect how the razor fits together. The polish and chrome didn't look like they were done very well either. Then I put my head on the handle and it's disappointing. The two alignment holes appear too large or the alignment pins are too small. When mounting to the hilt you must be very careful to keep the head straight while tightening the hilt to the head or the top of the head will rotate and this will leave an uneven amount of the blade open end to end and a mirror image of the problems on the other side. I haven't used a razor yet, so I'm not sure how big the problem will be. All I know is that my Mühle, Merkur and Jaeger razors don't have this problem. The good news is that all of these other brand heads fit in the handle and travel case. I only replace the head when I travel. I also have a Parker butterfly razor, which is also a bit smaller than the other three brands I mentioned. I had to pay an extra $15 for a Merkur travel razor. live and learn. this will be my last parker razor they just don't live up to the competition and the money you save isn't really worth the lack of quality.
