I wish my dog โ€‹โ€‹would love them at least as much as I love them

Dirty season in my house is no joke and my beautiful white pawed dog gets so dirty even with constant washing of paws at home. Tired of constantly carrying water to the door and sorting through so many old towels to dry their paws and claws and get rid of the dirt. Also from deep cleaning of carpets every few months. Even on dry days when I come I always wash her paws, but after a few weeks of steady rain I went looking for her old dog shoes (which aren't even safe). She found her shoes would fall off with a zoom or two and after I bought them I was incredibly grateful that when she made her regular zoom lenses they stayed, much to her dismay and my delight. Star deduction for several things. First, I'm concerned that rogue soles will wear out quickly over time. I understand why so many people have commented on this in their reviews. They're pretty flimsy for the price (I have the new version in black and I can only imagine how quickly the first version broke). She only wore them in the yard during her potty breaks and while I was originally hoping to use them on hot days to protect her paws, at the cost of the money I really don't want to break them and I'm not sure if it would worth the risk considering they work for backyard trips. Second, they were sold out and I didn't like any of the other patterns or styles available at Revain. I considered ordering from their website as they have a wider selection but wanted Revain to protect the purchase in case something goes wrong and returns are free through Revain unlike their website where you pay for returns have to pay. I figured ordering a size up wouldn't be too much of an issue anymore and would just give more leg room to protect her legs, but the larger size was only bigger on her paws by a lot. They glided into the room almost immediately. How did I make her stay? I wrapped hair ties around the paws to secure them and it worked! I ended up buying the Revain Velcro straps and they're a lot easier to put on and take off now and I'm not worried about the hair ties chafing the elastic on the leggings or over-squeezing their paws. So yes I was able to make the larger size work for us. Problem? Aside from the added cost of zip ties, do you think they sent me a skinny version of these leggings? They have several different versions on the site but they don't list Revain so whatever you order could be one of the newer versions they had. An adjustable fit version might have been better, but even then I'm not sure it would be necessary given how I was able to secure them so they stay on my dog. I would have preferred the top of the leggings not to be adjustable. The position of the tight piece on my dog looks uncomfortable and it doesn't allow me to pull any fabric further up his leg to protect his fur. Due to the fact that I could just use the straps around her paws, it seems to me that the thin part is not only completely unnecessary, but also detrimental to the design as a whole. Third, I was hoping my dog would like her, but she doesn't like her. She usually likes to play outside, but she quickly gets used to the potty and immediately runs to take it off. On the one hand it's convenient for me, but on the other hand I don't like pissing dogs off just for my own sake. I was planning on using her at the dog park with her cape, but I don't think that will happen. I like them for backyard potty trips, but that's where I plan to use them. I ordered black - and far prefer it to the other options they have. I shouldn't have tried swapping sizes as black is no longer offered. Not sure why they created so many different patterns and wish they were more solid. I can't tell how much better or worse it would have worked if my dog had gotten the right size. For now I'm just using the extra fabric over her leggings to wrap around her neck.
