We love this camera! I did a lot of research before buying an instant camera for my 11 year old's birthday. I knew it was fun novelty overall, but I also knew I couldn't invest in infinite film, so printing photos we didn't need was going to be an ordeal. After looking at so many different models (at least in the sub-$100 price range), I resigned myself to the fact that this was bound to happenโshe would need to learn to be sensible with her photos, and besides, we just used an Als SD card she had no film. And then, JUST before I bought another model, Revane suggested the Kodak Smile - and it was EVERYTHING I hoped it would be! I LOVE LOVE LOVE that it has a photo viewing screen and she can choose which photos to print. This was the ONE thing I wanted from an instant camera. Of course she loves taking photos of her friends and our vacations and she makes a little scrapbook with her prints (By the way, Zink prints have a sticky back so you can just stick them in the book). And the ability to view and reprint photos allows her to print multiple copies for friends. I have to admit that the photos aren't of the highest quality - I knew that all of them would be. those cameras - but then again, she's 11, so that's enough for her. Also, it's a bit Finnish that to save the photo you have to press the "OK" button after pressing the shutter button. It takes some getting used to and she lost a few favorites when others photographed her because they weren't aware of the feature. Finally, I was a bit disappointed with the "Filters" options - there are only black and white, sepia, and blue. And the only "frame" either with a white frame or without a frame. I thought there would be more funny things in them, but that didn't become an obstacle. Overall she is very happy and so are we!
