I LOVE this reading pillow. I was wary after some reviews. Especially one where the buyer sends the item back the same day due to the supposed flexibility of the product. Obviously you haven't read the instructions! The pillows were rolled up but were easy to remove from the packaging. As described in other reviews, it had a slight smell but quickly dissipated. The pillows are very flexible, but I let the pillow "inflate" for a full 24 hours and the results are amazing. Very supportive yet soft enough to be manipulated for optimal comfort. The back is high and the arms are at the ideal height. I had foot surgery and had to take a break for five weeks. These pillows saved my life. I bought one for bed and one for extra comfort on the couch. I haven't had any problems with splintering, tearing, or falling apart. I bought an inferior product from a retailer (the brown one in the photo) and am very glad I bought these as a replacement. As a last thought. I appreciate that the company reached out to every dissatisfied customer to rectify the situation. I didn't have that level of customer service for a crappy brown pillow.
