So when I was about to apply the screen protector, I wiped the screen with an alcohol wipe, let it dry, and then wiped it with a polishing cloth. I made this on our CLEAN kitchen table. So I peel off the adhesive tab, align the protective film and press it on. For some reason there are bubbles on the screen. I try to spread them out at the ends to remove them but they won't go away. On closer inspection, small specks are visible on a perfectly polished screen?! It turned out to be tiny pieces of glass stuck to the very edge of the adhesive tab and when I pulled them off they fell onto the screen and scratched the screen when I was trying to apply the screen protector. So now I have a new $600 tablet with scratches on the screen before I turned it on and a useless screen protector that's in the trash can. Don't waste money.
