It's well made, if very basic. It's like a burlap-like material. It does what I need to do - organize my jewelry and place it where it can be seen and easily reached. The bracelets fit perfectly in pockets, which I also used for brooches and earrings. My thick bracelets fit snugly in the large mesh pocket and my hook earrings hang snugly in the other mesh pocket. Velcro straps on the bottom seem to hold the weight of several heavy necklaces reliably and securely so far. The kit includes three strong hooks above the door to hang it the way I used it. Mine is hanging in a closed room so it slides by all the time. So far that's not a problem either. However, the necklaces will bump and scratch the door loudly if accidentally touched while passing by. I live in an apartment so it wasn't good. My solution was to hang an unused t-shirt behind the necklaces with tape, not very elegantly. I think other people could probably attach a nice piece of thick cloth to better address this issue. Also think about what kind of kittens/pets you have (I look at you parrots). If you have wild kids, you can hang it higher and on the wall or attach it to a chest. My cats are very well-behaved and, after a few explanations, left the toy trailers alone. Also, this is NOT a travel style jewelry organizer. There is no way to fold or lock it. The pockets are all open and do not close. This is for installation in one place.
