Review on Douchebag Unisex_Adult Hugger Backpack Black by Maria Ngo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Purposeful minimalist design, excellent build quality, lightweight holdall.

I really don't like "cluttered" backpacks with tons of pockets, zippers, and big metal tabs on door knockers that make the bag look like it weighs 10 pounds, but it's empty! And can't carry as much as it weighs. This bag is the complete opposite of all that nonsense. Weight is your enemy when you travel light and need to take everything you need with you. This bag has many thoughtful design features that minimize weight and maximize utility. The zippers are of good quality and the reinforced stitching is only present where needed. How many jewelry bags do you really need? This bag strategically features large zippered pockets with mesh closures to allow items to breathe and reduce weight. Nothing superfluous. The bottom of the bag is reinforced on the sides to help the bag hold its shape and provide support when placed on the floor. The top and sides have an integrated water-resistant exterior to minimize water entering the bag if you get stuck. Shower. Even the straps are minimalist in size and weight without sacrificing fit or comfort. It doesn't have a lot of things built into or hanging from the belt, and it doesn't have extra, sometimes cumbersome, secondary cross braces, things I never normally use. It has loops around the belt drawstring where when you pull on the belt to adjust, the extra length of the belt stays in the loop and does not hang down or snag the side of the bag. It also has a series of loops vertically down the center of the bag should you wish to attach additional items. Overall, it weighs less than any full-size "overstuffed" backpack, but can hold two to three times more stuff in comparison.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish
