The ring light itself is great! There are three different color settings and you can darken or lighten each color. The light has a USB cable, so it does not plug directly into a power outlet. However, the included tripod cannot be fully screwed into the ring. This causes the ring light to become unstable and move around. I have an extra tripod that worked great with the light, but other than that I had to set up the light without a tripod. Maybe it was a manufacturer or seller error and I just got a bad quality one.
