Easy to install. If you are unfamiliar with this, install the CD before doing anything else. The steps are simple and start with unpacking the printer. (I have Windows XP) After years of using the HP LaserJet 6P (600 dpi) printer, I was ready for a new one; One that doesn't weigh nearly as much as a TV would take up half the space of an HP LJ 6p, and one that would match the black and silver tones of my new computers. Since I do a lot of graphics work, I need a high-quality laser printer. This inexpensive (1200 dpi) model met all my needs. (I see the price just dropped another six dollars - gosh! LOL.) ** Luckily I already had a USB cable as this printer doesn't come with one. It comes with a power plug (printer to wall outlet). ** The Revain images show that the paper is not protected from dust or anything else that could affect the quality of the paper in the tray - this is an issue if you intend to leave paper in the tray all the time. Enjoy!
