VELY VELY is brand new to me with which I've had mixed results depending on the product. It's funny that my biggest concern was choosing a good shade for this lightweight, full-coverage concealer, but there are two other factors that really get in my way. The packaging is nice and the concealer looks very creamy on the applicator. BEFORE it dries on the skin. Being able to build up coverage (layers for more or less effect) is a real plus as not all concealers do and this one is a great "concealer". Beige suits me quite well, although I'd prefer fair because the acidity in my skin makes beige look a little orange, if not really orange at all. I have two problems: the concealer was not moisturizing at all and I only want to use it as an under eye concealer. The way the concealer dries seems to be waterproof which explains the dry matte look and how it curls up my skin creating a very heavy look reminiscent of stage effects makeup. When applied to the arm or under the eyes, it dries the same way - dry and wrinkled as a face mask. I was shocked. Worse, it has a VERY nasty chemical soap smell (probably from rosehip oil) that doesn't go away and makes me allergic. Without these two issues I would have loved the concealer and would have given it 5 stars. Important advertising statements should not be refuted so easily. Nothing in this concealer is moisturizing so unfortunately I can only use the product on other areas of my face or body as a spot concealer. which will be rare.
