Review on πŸš€ Banks 48123 Performance Monster Exhaust System by Todd Phillips

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Damn, great sound!

The hardest part of the installation was aligning the Y-tube with the cats. Take your time and install the real downpipe side first and then the driver's side. I had to get the bolts to pull both flanges down to engage the crampons. 2. large plate for hanging on the Y-clamp. The actual suspension part on the truck bolts to the TOP of the plate for proper installation. 3. Remove all real rubber hangers from the truck and after attaching the rods, reassemble and then screw back to the truck frame. It makes life easier. Doing it yourself in the driveway with just a leveling kit was pretty easy and took about 2 hours. The kit is very well made and includes everything you need for a proper installation including 2 new exhaust pipe gaskets. You'll noticeably lose torque at low rpm, but what you gain at high rpm is worth it. It's not a big loss, but you'll notice it. Now for the fun part: THIS SOUNDS AMAZING on Titan. Idling sounds very good, but driving at low speed is what it takes for the sound. When you sit on it, it sounds like a really big old V8. Garages are a playground for your ears. It's without a doubt the best exhaust note I've ever heard from a Titan or, frankly, any other V8 truck. You won't regret this set. I installed this on a Saturday and on Monday I had 5 "What's that exhaust?" with half a dozen to a dozen thumbs up and 2 terrified screams as I banged next to a car with the windows open.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • The list is getting long.
