We live in this bathrobe and more importantly our daughter loves it. We dry it with a towel and with its help we go to another room. That way she can stay covered while we dress our little one. You can use it to dry off your baby after a shower, but we want them to be dry so they don't get cold in a wet towel. We've washed it twice and the quality remains the same. - still soft and gentle. We use a very mild detergent and no fabric softener and the bathrobe stays soft. We bought size 6 for our 3.5 year old girl. We could probably go for a size 4 but it would be tighter and she would outgrow it quickly. When she wears a size 6, the robe still doesn't reach the floor (she's about 5 inches) - that's how we decided which size to go. She checked the measurements, just making sure she wasn't going to step on him. The worst thing was just leaving him until she was grown, but it never came to that. It would make a great gift and I would definitely buy it again when she grows out.
