This thing looked promising. I bought this for my son who is obsessed with everything mechanical. Unfortunately, when I opened it, charged the batteries and ran it, I found that the correct track wasn't moving. Having enough survival skills in the 21st century and having already destroyed the packaging and box to recycle, I decided to hack, open and fix this thing and not return it for an exchange. They are hand assembled and the unit I received had a simple fault (one of the wires to the motor that drives the right side of the tread broke off - easy enough to fix but not something you'd find on a brand new one need to repair toys). While I believe it will adequately withstand my son's typical abuse of property, be aware that you may also be wondering why some of this isn't working. that does not work. PH0 and Iron 30W later and I had a working product.
