A NOTICE. There are two power switches!
Helps to read the instructions carefully. There are two power buttons: a touch-sensitive power button on the front of the mirror, and a small white circular power button on the back under the battery cover. This must be activated first before the touch switch will work. I can only surmise that the little white "master" power switch is necessary to prevent the lights from accidentally turning on while driving and draining the batteries.
