I strongly recommend spending a little more for a little higher quality if you can. They're supposed to be made of wood, but feel closer to plastic and bend quite easily. I didn't expect them to be able to hold weight, but I would be concerned about putting anything heavier than a roll of paper towels on top. Definitely very easy to assemble if the holes are lined up correctly. Most of mine fit, but some didn't, and I tried to screw the screws in carefully. As a result, I slightly cracked one of the shelves. Finally, I'm not sure why each bracket has slots for 2 wall screw holes (6 for a total of 12 screw holes) when I only get 6 screws and 6 anchors. I'll probably still use them for little knick knacks since I paid for them and they're out of the return window now. Good thing I bought a pack of screws and dowels in multiple sizes last year.
