I have to tell you that this is a unique shower fixture. The tiny pinholes on the face were visually indistinguishable until I took a closer look. Let me be more specific. A normal sewing needle will not fit through these holes. Only the top will be. Therefore, the manufacturer did not lie when they said that each tiny hole creates a jet of water at high speed, but this does not result in a stronger effect on the surface. Anyone who's seen a tiny hole in a garden hose can tell you it shoots high in the air, but it doesn't feel like much when you touch it. They surround a central cluster to select one, the other, or both, and this creates many small surface sensations. I decided to use both after trying them. So when I put it through a shampoo rinse test it took me about 50% more effort than my trusty old 1st gen Waterpik. In comparison, this showerhead's flow is tightly focused and easy to concentrate, but it doesn't give much of an impact. The flow is higher than adjustable showerheads, but the feel is uniquely soft and "fluffy". Another problem is that if you live with hard water, you know that those tiny holes get plugged up quickly. I'm glad I tried it but it's not what I need. Returned.
