Startech 6ft extender is just what I need. It's durable and has large ports that are well made. It has polarized slots for two contact devices. It is rated at 13 amps at 125 volts or 1626 watts. Sometimes a shorter cord is better than lots of unnecessary cords, and 6 feet is perfect for my project. Startech offers different lengths in this product list. Good. An extension cord is not rocket science. It's not something I want to think about too much. Startech has a well made cable and now that it's been put to use and I've written this review I certainly don't need to think twice or worry about it. Excellent! UPDATE January 24, 2018: Shop light, this power strip broke the power so I replaced it with an LED model. Installing a new light reminded me how well made this extension cord was. Still like new after half a year. Well there was dust and cobwebs which I cleaned off the workbench in the basement :-) I've since bought another one for a different purpose. I am completely satisfied and confirm that I think this is a 5 star expansion.
