Firstly after 1 month of use the M buttons (to turn the device on and off manually and to switch from white to blue) no longer work. So for me it's extraordinarily synchronized light. The light spectrum is fine, but the only way to get plant growth while preventing algae is to set it to a very warm light with some blue that makes the aquarium (and fish) look brown and drab. Check out the Hygger instead which I am going to replace this one with as I have been very happy with the quality of my 10 gallons.
