Not a bad pump. and I'm certainly no plumber, but I was able to get it working in about a day or so. I used it to replace an older Gould J5 jet pump and let me tell you this pump is half the size and probably half the size and who knows how long it will last? I hope to get out of this lol in a few months. It was very quiet when I first started it, but after a warm up cycle or three it got as noisy as the old pump and will definitely let you know if there is air in the pump housing. he sings a melody like nails on a blackboard, amplified electronically through very large speakers. Like a banshee! I don't have high hopes anyway, but for now it works and can hold a steady 50psi pressure if you use a tap or two. Turn on the shower and do the laundry while the other two faucets are running and the pressure drops to 25psi. Pooh. Oh yes, the pressure switch is not provided either. You must understand this as I did. Ouch! .and note, do not connect the PVC pipe to the pump directly, it will deform and burst the pipes when heated. Or just use it to water the garden or something smaller, less important. Much luck!
